Keep your eSIM QR code and activation details private
A QR code or manual activation string may install your cellular profile. Someone who obtains it could attempt to add the profile to another device, depending on provider controls. It is not a decorative barcode.
Before you go
Use the provider’s official installation flow, avoid public screenshots, and store the email securely. Contact the seller if you suspect the code was exposed.
- Open the plan’s QR or manual activation instructions before setup.
- If data does not work, first check that the line is on and selected for mobile data.
- Change the APN only when the provider gives you an exact value.
If the instructions don’t match your phone
Menu names move between software versions. Follow the current manufacturer guide for your phone, then use the eSIM provider’s plan-specific steps for network settings.
